But you can't see it. Sorry. My camera broke because I had it in my purse and I also had a nectarine in there as well. The nectarine got squished somehow and the juice ended up on my camera which is preventing the lens from properly opening. This shit only happens to me, I know. So, I'm getting a new camera next week. A Canon A540. Everyone who has Canon loves them. And my Kodak is shit. Never buy a Kodak, they're the devil. So next week, you will have pictures of me and my tanness. I'm also getting a new MP3 player. A 6GB Sandisk. I'm pumped for that. Ever since my Samsung 512MB broke, my workouts have not been the same. And exercising with a CD player is seriously ancient. (I never thought I'd say that.)
I cut off all my fingernails today. Somehow, when I do that, I feel like it's a new beginning. I also feel like I chopped off half of my hand. Literally - have you ever SEEN how long my nails get? And they grow at the rate of the unwanted weeds in our yard!
We're going on a family vacation this weekend. To Door County. It's about an hour north of here. A little resort town where many people from Chicago vacation. Lots of stuff to do and places to go. We're going from Thursday to Sunday, then I'm meeting up with a friend and her family who will be there from Sunday to Monday. While vacaying, we're going to the outdoor theater, and we're going mountain bike riding in Peninsula Park, and we're going to a Friday night fish fry (if you didn't know, Wisconsin is known for it's Friday night fish fries), and we're relaxing, and swimming, and bumming around the little town shops, and reading, and playing games, and cooking steaks and brats on the grill, and lots of other fun stuff! I am excited to chill. ESPECIALLY since next week is HELL week for me at work!! We have the end-of-the-summer Community Event coming up and we have a ton of stuff to do. I worked an 11 hour day yesterday sorting prizes for our carnival games. Good Lord. I still love it, though. It's a lot of work and long days, but it's a really fun event. This year, we have a movie in the park on Friday night, then on Saturday, we have a carnival, games, prizes, inflatables (I feel like I'm promoting this at work right now), concessions, fire trucks, a magic show from 5-6pm, an improv group called Comedy City from 6:30-7:30pm, a live band called Saturday Morning from 8-11pm, and a BUD vs. MILLER beer showdown from 8-11pm as well. How's that for a plug? I've been working tirelessly to get more things there (hot air balloon rides, the zoomobile with a petting zoo, a children's musician, etc), but they are all booked up. It's amazing what two young women can do when they want to create and produce a huge ass event, right Niki? It's a lot of work, though. Don't be fooled by the rocks that I got.
My whole point is, I don't know if I'll have internet in Door County, so my posts may be delayed a bit. Not that you haven't ever went without, though.
Ciao, loves.
