Whoa, so much has happened since I last wrote --
1) My party was AMAZING!!!!!!! (No kissing occurred besides minimal cheek-kissing, but it was still a shit ton of fun!) As you can see, the apartment was decorated with streamers and pictures of me (of course). The 80 pictures were great for conversation -- it was like a mini art gallery of just me! :) I wore my "You Wanna Makeout?" shirt because it was so appropriate as well as a button that read "Birthday Girl." Bonnie and Adrian made some kick-ass cakes (chocolate raspberry and Bailey's chocolate) that were SO GOOD. The beat went on throughout the night and it was a mega success! I'm having another next year for sure!
2) My birthday was super fun!!!!!!! The best day of the year was not without excitement! We all had breakfast as an apartment and then went to the semi-annual book sale at Magnuson Park. I spent a grand total of $6 on so many books! :) Adrian and I went to Top Pot for donuts and coffee (hello free donut!) and then laid outside for a few hours reading and eating. We all went to dinner with Celine and Lydie (my Frenchies) at a Japanese Polynesian restaurant named OHANA where I got a real lei made of fresh orchids. It smelled GREAT! I totally got lei-ed on my birthday! :) Afterwards, we made our way home where I opened my cards and Bonnie and Adrian gave me a gift - $40 towards a massage or facial! Yay! We all went to bed shortly after - I was so tired!
3) Mom and Jane came to visit!!! We did so much and walked so much and ate so much and laughed so much and drank so much (well, THEY did) and had so much fun! The pictures really do all of the talking, but it was a blast and I have been recuperating for a few days now. We went out to eat for sushi and Indian food (yum!), we went to Pike Market, we went up the Space Needle twice (in daytime and nighttime), we took a ferry ride to Bainbridge, we visited a few Seattle parks, we made a gourmet dinner of salmon, potatoes, and asparagus all from the market, and we enjoyed each other's company! :)
4) Celine is here - RIGHT NOW!!! I am supposed to be doing my work (she is making batter for crepes tonight because we're having the neighbors - new neighbors, too! - over for some good times), so I'm going to go. But, I have one last thing to tell about...
5) I made out with another boy - he's my #24! :) His name is Will and he is moving to Chicago in a week. He's a neighbor...I swear this apartment complex (and neighborhood in general) is just bustling with hot boys! I have other crushes, too, but I'm just not willing to reveal their identities on my blog yet. Will is leaving, so he's fair game! :)
Yay for almost being done with my soul-crushing, life-ruining program! :) I'll be on my way to Europe in 37 days!!!!!!!!! (Keep in mind, I'll also have a Master's degree!) Yay!
