I'm Sunburned and Happy!

Hi everyone!!!

These last few days have been so busy, thanks for sticking with me and being patient! And thanks for the wonderful words of encouragement and love! :) I don't have much time right now (the library closes in 30 minutes and I have other stuff to do on the internet for class), but I wanted to give you a brief update about my life (crazy and exhilarating)!

My Tuesday was filled with fun, we visited a preschool in Queen Anne and it was really cool. They have a focus called "Reggio Emilia" named after a region in Italy that practices a certain type of child care. More on this (and everything else later). Then school. Boring - I'm ready for summer (and considering the amazing weather we've been having, I should be)! Tuesday night I viewed a special needs ballet class and had my own ballet class. My instructor told me that I was her favorite student. Probably to make be feel better cause I suck.

Wednesday, I got up at 6:30am to work out before my interview for a summer job working one weekend per month as a camp counselor with adults with disabilities. I got the job. They offered on the spot. They have a "signal." It was cute. I told them I'd get back to them. I got another job offer that I want to look into first. If I take the camp job, that'll be three summer jobs total. Yikes! I went home, showered, got ready (prepped for the date) and left for class. After 2 classes, I was so nervous, I think I shit about 6 times. Not really, but I was anxious. I met MDM (his initials) on my birthday, I was drunk, there was NO WAY I was going to remember what he looked like! I could barely remember what I did, how the hell was I going to remember that? I can't type about this now, it's too long of a story, so I'll post it tomorrow, probably. Overall, it went well, but my general sentiment is "meh" with a slight shoulder shrug. It wasn't bad, I'm just not in a hurry to be crazy about him. That's all and I think that's good. Oh, and I went to bed around 2:30am. Good Lord. And, just in case you were wondering, he's REALLY CUTE. REALLY CUTE. Totally my type. (If "my type" even exists.)

Yesterday, I worked out in the morning, had class, and then effectively sat around naked in my bedroom because I can. Becca came over and we had our little dinner at the Melting Pot - it was SO GOOD. See pictures below, I'll explain later.

Today, I woke up at 6:30am again to catch a bus to campus and be picked up at 8am so that we could go to this school to do an assessment on this child with challenging behaviors. That was over at 10am, so I worked out hardcore (interval training is not my best friend) and went home to eat lunch. I took a nap in the grass outside while Rebecca and Bonnie washed their bikes. I got sunburned. It was great.

Tonight, I'm doing homework and having pizza/Rent watching night with the roomies. Tomorrow, I have a little thing at night, and on Sunday, I am having dinner with Kacey and Carlos because they are leaving for Europe for 2 months and Wisconsin for 1 month on Monday afternoon! Then, TYLER comes on MONDAY NIGHT!!! Hoooray! :)

P.S. - It's been so beautiful all week. And lucky me, the apartment pool opens on Memorial Day. And the noisy peeps downstairs are moving out. Hallelujah!

P.P.S. - Tomorrow is opening day of boat season which means that all the bridges in Seattle are up (for easy water pass) from 10am - 4pm. Ha. It's called "Boat Day." I'm serious. Isn't that awesome?

Me at Melting Pot.

Becca with the drink we got - it's called a Yin and Yang - SO GOOD!
We dressed up. Here is our vegatarian entree! It was amazing!

And finally, the chocolate. Mixed Dark and Milk chocolate! MMMMM!

LOVE YOU!
