Tonight, we're having a dinner party for Bonnie's birthday. She turns 24 on the 21st, but since I won't be in town then, she has decided to have her party 2 weeks early so that I can be here!
Here's the menu:
Appetizers: Creamy tomato soup with a side of rice or couscous and a Russian salad (which consists of cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions in a vinagrette)
Entree: Fettecine alfredo with Alaskan smoked salmon and an undecided vegatable
Desserts: 5 different kinds of cookies (chocolate marshmellow, molasses, chocolate chip craisin, peanut butter, candy cane), blueberry peach cobbler, and various bottles of wine.
Everything is homemade except for the chocolate marshmellow cookies, which were store bought by me and then discarded (or pawned off, one of the two) because they were too sweet and cardboard tasting. Bonnie is making it all except the candy cane cookies (which Adrian made), the peanut butter cookies (me), the blueberry peach cobbler (also me), and the wine (everyone is bringing a bottle).
It should be a good time! :)
