This is the beautiful living room when clean and lit with candles. Isn't it lovely? I certainly think so. Our apartment was in the most wonderful shape yesterday, it was amazing. I will definitely post more pics of the past few days, but you first must see a few essential dinner party photographs. They will capture the warmth and joy that was experienced last night.

This is the kitchen complete with our 70's table setting (and table cloth, which Bonnie insisted on). It's retro and pretty sweet at the same time. While setting the table, I was fondly reminded of setting the table at American Village when each family was on kitchen duty. Come to think of it, this was much more enjoyable. But in this picture, the table setting isn't complete. One bowl is missing and there are no water glasses on the table...yet.

First notice how clean the counter is...Oooooo, Ahhhhh. Simply incredible. Then notice the adorable cookie platters we arranged. Aren't they great? So, the assortment is as I posted yesterday (second tray, clockwise from the candy canes): Candy cane cookies (Adrian), chocolate marshmellow cookies (store bought), cranberry chocolate raspberry chip cookies (Bonnie), peanut butter cookies (moi), fortune cookies (store bought), and ginger cookies (Bonnie). Mmmmm. We have lots of cookies left. Plus, someone brought cupcakes (she's a froster at Cupcake Royale in Ballard), so we have those left as well. Yum!
This is the peach blueberry cobbler that I baked. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but it wasn't DELECTABLE either. Not a Bonnie creation by any stretch of the imagination. Nevertheless, it didn't taste like baking soda and no one spit it back into their bowl. THANK GOODNESS. Maybe I'll try to make it a bit different next time.
The roomies. WHOA, look at those boobs! Actually, I got a great shot of them - it's the best pic of the night. To be posted at a later time...or maybe shown in person. :) Anyhow, we happened to coordinate our outfits to be Christmas themed, plus, we're all wearing dresses with jeans. Awwww, how cute. This is at the end of the night after we forgot to ask someone to take our picture, so my camera is propped on top of the TV.Well, that's pretty much it for right now. It's getting late (the time posted is always when I START the posts, not when I end them...for example, it's 11:58pm my time right now) and I have to get up early to volunteer tomorrow morn. Yippee, hooray, it's my last day! :)
I come home on FRIDAY! YESSSSSSS.
