Well, I'll tell you what: Getting emails and having conversations about what our nation is doing to leave the word GOD out of official documents, governmental systems, and educational programs. You know what I say?
BULLSHIT.
NOT EVERYONE BELIEVES IN GOD.
DEAL WITH IT.
Seriously. I realize that this post may offend some of you, but then I urge those of you who are pissed off at me for typing such ludacris statements to ask yourself - What's behind your pissiness? No, for real! Why would you be mad that not everyone believes in something you do? Because they will go to hell? What's that got to do with you? And besides, I don't believe in hell and neither do a lot of people I know. Are you mad because people won't come together under a unified God? Who cares if that happens? Why does that matter at all? In fact, I find that many people (not ALL, but many) who are highly religious are usually the MOST judgmental. Especially of themselves. And you know what else I think? I think that fear underlies judgment. I also think that the God I believe in doesn't judge at all - he's not condemning, nor is he to be feared. I think he lies impartial to our everyday lives and only wants to guide us on our path toward creating and recreating ourselves. He gave us free will, didn't he? (Note that I did not capitalize "he" on purpose. It's not a mistake.)
In fact, he gave us enough free will so that everyone can believe what they want, and thus, everyone believes in a different God or god or GOD. Everyone creates their own image of who or what God should be and then believes in it or him or her depending on what they need.
That's my hypothesis, anyway.
I say, just stop with the emails because not everyone believes that God should be a governmental or educational name - or a household name for that matter.
