The Next Day

I have lots to do today. But I'm feeling relaxed, in control. It's bit-by-bit, that's what I've learned over the past year. Step-by-step. Ha. "Step by step, ooo baby, gonna get to you gi-rrrl." Who sings it?

It's cloudy and drizzly here today. I should go to the bank. And to Barnes and Noble. I have a gift certificate that is dying to be spent. I have too many books that I want! I'm going to make some good pancakes right now, too. Hooray for pancakes!

Tonight, Bonnie's boyfriend Alex is having a going away party. He's going to China for a few months for work, so he's planned a red party in China's honor. So clever. I'm painting my nails red, wearing red lipstick and, of course, all red clothes. I'm not planning on looking pretty, just red. Lucky for me, I look good in red. There will be a lot of alcohol there, so I also don't plan on being sober. A grad student girl like me should be able to get drunk on the weekends. God knows I didn't do it last year. Well, maybe, like, 5 times total which is a shame for a fun girl like me. I guess, the older I get, the more "over" alcohol and being drunk I become. But every once and a while, it's so FUN! :) Especially since it usually leads to a makeout and God also knows that I certainly need one of those right now. Most definitely.

K, I'm gonna go make pancakes.

Does anyone read my blog anymore considering I am posting so intermittently?
