Live Deliberately.

Another new motto. Live deliberately. Consciously live out my destiny. As my ring says: "Our fate is our destiny." I would recommend the movie: What the Bleep Do We Know? It really centers in on issues of our reality as a direct result of our cognitions. SO INTERESTING. A little sexist, but fascinating and possibly life changing all the same. Check it out.

So..I have to identify my loyal followers. Woah, what if this is the beginning of my mini cult? Maybe I am trying to brainwash you and you don't even know it. Huh. Now that's an idea! :)

I have GOT to say something about that song, Flo. Just so everyone knows, Flo (or RAVEN, as I know her) is my little French lover from American Village! Hooray for her. (I also believe that Babe is reading, too, so hello to both my little Frenchies! Welcome to the world of blogging!) The song that Flo so graciously sang (well, kinda) for us was from camp this summer. Thanks for that redition, my dear. You have effectively brought me right back to the village of Thebe.

Hi Mom and Dad. You rock my world. :)

Hi Barb. I didn't really mean leave me alone. For real, I enjoy the distraction.

Overall, I'm glad you liked the elk/moose pics. They're a real source of pride for me.

To Andra and Mandy: Seriously, what the hell do they think they're doing with Gray's Anatomy? I mean, come on. I'm already addicted, but to end it at a point where you think everyone is going to die? Meredith will live, though, because I heard there's going to be a scene with her and McDreamy in the shower. You can't even know how much I am looking forward to this scene. Ha. Sorry Mom and Dad.

Oh, and a HUMUGOUS CONGRATULATIONS to ROB (Schampers, a longtime friend from elementary, middle, and high school) and his FIANCEE, MANDY (practically my new best friend). AHHH. I will be at your wedding whether invited or not.

More about days with Sarah: She inspires me. She's one of the most unique, amazing, thoughtful, wonderful people I know. Her and I are just a powerhouse of activity and thoughts and insights. We generate so much energy and feeling that we really can't stop ourselves from talking through the night.

Okay, so she flew in on Sunday night and we pretty much went to bed right away considering it was about 2am her time. We woke up early on Monday morning and took the bus down to Pike's Market (or just the market in native Seattlite speak) and got some French pastries (pain au chocolate - my favorite) and coffee at a little French bakery on the corner of the market. Then, we walked the market and bought some things after which we went down on the pier and hung out. We went to lunch at Ivar's (a spinach salad and a salmon BLT - EXCELLENT) and then bought a few more little items before taking the bus home. Then Sarah met Zack for about an hour (it was an interesting little interaction) and we subsequently took a nap because we were so damn tired. After our nap, Duke's (a chowderhouse chain in Seattle) was calling our name, so we went there, got some salads and bread bowls with chowder, and got into deep conversation once again. Needlesss to say, we were RIDICULOUSLY tired after our intense day, so we got home and curled up in my satin-sheeted bed to sleep. It was a satisfying day!

Tuesday was our "Day in the Life of Kelly" day, so we awoke and went to the Grateful Bread (a cute little organic bakery right down the road from me) for some bagels, quiche, donuts, and coffee. We eat a lot. Good conversation ensued again. (We seriously conquer some really deep and intense thoughts when we converse.) We drove down to campus after breakfast and shopped for a bit at an upscale thrift shop (Buffalo Exchange, a chain on the West Coast) - I totally scored! I got jeans (they fit me better than any pair I've ever had!), 2 beautiful shirts, a tote bag that says "All's well that ends well" in French (can you see a theme here?), and...(drumroll, please) BRIGHT MAGENTA PUMA MOSTROS! (Krista - the Pumas were only $17!! Remember when I was going to buy them for $60 at the Outlet store?) Super excited about my purchases. Sarah got some rad stuff, too. We're good shoppers together. Then, I had class, so Sarah wandered around campus and the Ave (a street that runs just outside of campus with shops and restaurants on it - like 14th in Dinkytown for those of you familiar with UMN). We met up after my class and had sushi at a West Coast chain called Blue C Sushi where the sushi comes around on a conveyer belt and you just grab what you want. It's great and we had a wonderful time. Then, we were going to go to my ballet class, but unfortunately (stupid me), I read my watch wrong and we missed it by an hour. I am an idiot. We rented a movie instead and didn't even watch it (What the Bleep Do We Know?). In lieu of the film, we chatted long into the night and only got 3 hours of sleep (she had a 7am flight and we had to get up at 5am)! Sad, but totally worth it! :) It was so wonderful to have her in town!

So, this morning was beautiful and it made me appreciate my life even more. Seriously, there wasn't a cloud in the sky and it was about 60 degrees. Amazing. I went on about an hour run (those damn hills killed me) and completely enjoyed myself. The view is always so astounding out here, especially on clear days. I meant to take some pictures, but didn't have the dig with me at the time. Well, I gots to go because my work calls! Again, I hope to email everyone who has emailed me very soon! Maybe when I catch the hell up!

Miss you and love you!

Peace from the West Coast. (I know, it doesn't rhyme.)
