Have You Been Hearing About Us?

SEATTLE IS FLOODING! I swear. It's SO BAD here that I LITERALLY got blown away today! No, for real. Okay, so (you UMN people will know...) you know after a Gophers football game when you have to be blown out of the Metrodome (which is my favorite part of the entire experience) because it's pressurized? THAT is precisely what happened to me today, only it was in the middle of the streets of View Ridge (a nearby neighborhood) and I was fighting to go in the opposite direction that the wind was pushing me. It was horrendous...but, it was also kind of fun, too. The rain today would not let up either. It was terribly windy besides, so not only were you wet up to your boobs, but you were also dead cold, too. It was nasty and I am SO NOT exaggerating. Have you see us on the news yet? Houses floating away! Seriously! Just take a look at the pictures I have posted!

This one is from the valley (south of Seattle - where they say Rainer will collapse into when it falls). You see that telephone pole? Apparently, there would be a road there in drier times, but now, it is totally flooded over. Crazy, huh?

Here's another picture of just down the road. This is all supposed to be vegetable fields, but it's too low to withhold all the water. Today, someone told me that this may be the most rain in a month in Seattle on record - EVER! And to think that I got to experience it...aww, lucky me.

Here is one from this weekend at the Crawfords...Kyle and I are so silly. He is my same height already! Crazy! I remember when he was so small - only, like, 3. Weird. Now he's Mr. Male Model boy who has an agent and an agency. Anyhow, this picture is from when we were getting our infamous bubble tea. He's crazy for it and so am I...now. But I only like the blended coffee drinks with the regular tapioca. It's pretty good...you should try it! PS - I love my hair.

In other news, I cooked tonight (I was feeling ambitious) - I made vegetable curry with brown rice and peanut butter cookies from scratch. The curry (my first ever!) was decent, but the cookies were a complete diseaster. I put baking SODA instead of baking POWDER into the mix and I was left with cookies and half a batter that tasted like...SHIT. It was gross and both Bonnie and I had to spit it out. Sick. I would recommend thoroughly knowing the difference before cooking with these items. It will save you a lot of heartbreak not having to throw away what could have been such good pb cookies! Damn!

Besides that, I had a busy day and I have an even busier one tomorrow, so I have to go to bed. I'm going to be out of town this weekend for Apple Cup (when the University of Washington or UW plays Washington State University or WSU in football) which is in Pullman this year. Should be a good time - I need to blow off some steam and make out a bit! Apparently, I won't have to look far...everyone will be drunk the entire weekend and I will be doling out kisses. No problem for me. Yessssss. I rock.

Okay, ciao...and see some random, but important notes following....

Random, but Important Notes:

*To Susanne: I responded to your previous comments in the comments section of my November 12th post. I wanted to write you an email, but I thought it would be quicker and more efficient to write a post! I hope to write you a letter soon! :)

*To everyone: I changed the comment settings, so even if you don't have an account, you can post a comment. Also, it will require you to punch in that code thing (you know, with the letters and such) so that I don't get spam on my comments sections. Thanks, bye!
