Anyhow, I was just thinking about a few weeks ago when Kelly mentioned that autumns in Seattle are beautiful and while I happened to agree with her, I told her that they are even more beautiful in the midwest. Well, I'd like to officially retract that statement because the fall season here is longer and more beautiful than any other I've seen. Seriously, the trees are now just starting to lose their leaves - some are even still green. The leaves have been changing color since the beginning of October and the trees will probably not be fully bare until the end of November. That's two whole months of autumn. From what I've seen of the midwest, you've got one weekend to see the trees changing and that's it. Granted, in the midwest, you have the smells of the autumn and here, it's just not the same. But still. It's so gorgeous here, just take a look at the pictures I've taken:
This was taken on October 20th when the leaves just started changing. Ahh, blue sky!
This is the same tree, but it was taken about 30 minutes ago while on my way to do laundry. As you can see, it's rainy out today. Boo hiss, but I guess when you hear "torrential rain" in the weather forecast, they aren't kidding. Okay, that's all for today. I have stuff to do.
